Maybe it's because I expected greatness from Beres and didn't get it, why I was a bit disappointed with Sumfest.
That is until Babyface took the stage.
Boy he was phenomenal. And sexy too!
No one believed him when he said he was 66.
Unfortunately we had to leave during his performance because Mike, (Bernie's godson) and his family had to catch an early flight.
About Beres, no one can take away from his great crooning voice and loveable lyrics, but I heard he was no well and he certainly looked bad. The voice is masterful as every , but he did not have the energy or memory to deliver his own classics.
So he started them all, then disappointed.
Some people need to know when to retire so they don't spoil their own reputation.
Nigy Boy also was phenomenal.
His whole life has been inspiring as he is so young, but he is totally professional and deserves the honor the Mayor of Mobay bestowed on him. For he is from the inner city community of Flankers, was born blind and not expected to live but has risen like a phoenix.
And an intellectual giant too. As he already completed one B.A.
Another great act was from four stars from the 80's and 90's.
These were Anthony Malvo, Wickerman, Daddy Lizard, and Peter Metro.
They performed together, were professional, amusing, coordinated, entertaining and absolutely wonderful.
Chris Ellis, son of the late Alton Ellis is rising star.

This female guitarist with the Warrior band was outstanding too.
The early show wasn't bad either.
Young risers tried hard to keep us entertained and some even succeeded. I especially enjoyed the choreography and dancers who performed with outstanding female singer, Sevana.
There was even a country-looking singer among the early performers but the less said about his performance, the better😔.
All in all, a great night though.
And the artwork on the venue wall is absolutely amazing.
