It's happened again😡. Part 1.

About eleven or twelve years ago, I was on a Panama Canal cruise. One stop was at old Cartagena, Colombia.

When we finished touring, I left my friends in the souvenir shops and went to stand in the sun outside. Suddenly I fainted, nearly hitting my head on the sidewalk.

They took me in a taxi back to the ship's hospital and I was diagnosed with dehydration. I was intravenously hydrated and all was well.

Well it happened again today.😡

This time I was exercising at the Tamarac Senior Center when I started to feel dizzy. Others in the class saw me wobbling and put me to sit down . The next thing I knew, a bunch of men from Tamarac Fire Rescue arrived with an ambulance and stretcher and stuck all sorts of things into me. (My taxes at work).

When they saw my heart rate at 179, my blood pressure 180/90 and blood sugar elevated,  they took me to Cleveland Clinic Emergency in Weston.

That's where I am now. It's just before 12 noon.

The thing is, over the past year or two. I have occasionally felt like this same condition is coming on, but this is usually accompanied by shortness of breath and a severe pain in back of neck and shoulders.

I have been to Urgent Care and HCA Hospital emergency on two occasions when these episodes occured to try and find out what the problem is, but no success.

My primary care doctor has sent me to lung specialist, heart specialist, all sorts of specialists. No luck.

I have done stress test, had MRI and all kind of crap done but no one seems able to get to the bottom of the problem,

Now, whenever I feel the shortness of breath and dizziness coming on, I simply lie down for around two hours or more then I am fine.

This usually happens around every eight weeks or so. But there was no shortness of breath today. Just dizziness.

Recently I have been going to a chiropractor to see if he can get to the bottom of this madness by realigning my spine.

I must say that since he has been aligning my spine,  the neck and shoulders no longer hurt when this thing in coming on but clearly he has not stopped the episodes.

Well today they are are once again running all sorts of tests on me, so hopefully when the doctor gets the results she will be able to diagnose what is causing the problem.

She did say she is familiar with occurrences sUch as this this and even on young people, but they have never been able to get to the cause.

Hopefully, when she returns today I will be more enlightened. I came in around 11.30 am and been here for around an hour.

Let's see what time they let me out.

More anon.

Interestingly, while I was being tested a security guard came in to check my things to see if I was carrying weapons 😊and using this visit as a ruse to carry out a terrorist assault,

The nurses said that's routine as normally when entering the hospital through the front you are searched but emergency patients come through a back door.

That's America for you.

Ps. I am starving🥴. I don't normally eat breakfast until after exercise and they say they can't feed me till they have taken all the tests. Damn.😡

Hilo, Hawaii

Hilo is the fourth largest settlement in Hawaii, with a population of 44,186. It has two well-known volcanos, Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea

The latter is active and I was looking forward to at least seeing where it was.

I have heard a lot about the October surprise during the election period, but mine was terrible.😭.

For we stopped at Hilo on our family cruise in October 2024, but I could not go ashore as a unknown disease I had contracted in the last two years, struck.

I think it's either long COVID or effects from the damn COVID vaccine. It started about eighteen months and I have been to just about every doctor, urgent care, plus an emergency room, and they can't find a thing wrong with me.

It messes me up just about every two months or so and the symptoms include, dizziness, cold sweat. shortness of breath

The thing is, if I lie down for about two hours, it just goes away by itself so I have learned to live with it and stop wasting my time seeking medical assistance!

This disease has however always been considerate in that it has never bothered me when traveling.
Until we arrived at Hilo!

Then it struck just before breaksfast.

As the tour we arranged to go on started at 10 am, I had to go back to bed and miss that sightseeing tour.

Anyway, Michelle was good enough to take these pics and share them with me.

No pics of volcanos, but it looks pleasant enough.
