The Volta River flows south into Ghana from the Bobo-Dioulasso highlands of Burkina Faso.
Bridge View Hotel |
I got an excellent view of this fabulous river from the Bridge View hotel where we had lunch after our naming ceremony.

Ghanian food is much like ours. Their staples are yams and fried plantains, both of which I love. But you have to be careful with the meats as they tend to be extremely spicy.
The Adomi bridge |
The Adomi bridge behind me joins Atimpoku town to the Volta region. This is the longest suspension bridge in Ghana. |
